ADVANCED DIPLOMA IN HOSPITALITY AND TOURISM MANAGEMENT
Course Objective:
The Advanced Diploma in Hospitality and Tourism Management course is aimed at preparing the future workforce to harness the background knowledge and learn about the tourism industry, factoring in the possible influence of the transforming global landscape. The rapid integration and collaboration of countries, deglobalizing, and the politically influenced economy bring about a new trend of consumers’ purchasing behavior that negates the competitive yet sustainable- conscious business models.
The program seeks to provide an overview and ingrain the future workforce across disciplines of the industry knowledge, impart learnings, discuss impacts, and yet delved into created opportunities within the industry at the Meso, Micro, and Macro-level. Learners will espouse the changing dynamisms and affecting variables of the hospitality and tourism industries.
At the end of the program, students will be able to:
- Understand the tourism landscapes and able to make pragmatic interpretations, and recommend the appropriate application of the acquired knowledge
- Process integration between international; external and local; internal stakeholders that influence operations decision making
- Understand the various job scope, and the tactical and functional management processes to better extend, support, and contribute efficiently as a team member
- Understand and interpret and analyze the business financial implications of the processes
- Extend the connectivity between IT and IoT to improve and support efficiency
- Be sensitized to terminologies of security-related activities and understudy risk analysis in events management

Promotion and Graduation Requirements
The learners will need to fulfill all of the following to graduate and be awarded the
ADVANCED DIPLOMA IN HOSPITALITY AND TOURISM MANAGEMENT:
1. Attendance Requirement:
(i) 90% for all learners who are under student pass (STP);
(ii) 75% for learners without STP;
2. Pass all modules
