DIPLOMA IN RETAIL SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGEMENT
Course Objective: The Diploma in Retail Supply Chain Management is a comprehensive 12-month full-time program consisting of 6 months of theoretical learning plus 6 months industrial attachment. It is designed to equip students with the necessary knowledge and skills to excel in the Retail Supply Chain management field. The course adheres to the standards set by the Council for Private Education (CPE) in Singapore and combines theoretical learning with practical application through the six-month internship. The program comprises 6 academic modules, each focusing on different aspects of retail supply chain management and the Industrial Attachment. Course Modules: DRSCM 101 Introduction to Retail Operations DRSCM 102 Retail Costing Methods DRSCM 103 Retail Operations Planning and Control DRSCM 104 Warehouse and Inventory Management DRSCM 105 Transportation and Distribution Management DRSCM 106 Procurement and Supplier Management DRSCM 107 Industrial Attachment -Essentials of Retail Supply Chain Management Operation The manner of Teaching: Mode of Assessment -Written Exams 50% -Assignment / Group Project 40% -Class Participation 10% Duration: Full-time: Monday – Friday Average Teacher-Student Ratio: DIPLOMA IN RETAIL SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGEMENT 6 + 6 Full Time Course Admission Criteria Minimum GCE ‘O’ level with at least 3 subjects passes. Or equivalent to Year 10 from the respective home country of the applicant. Note: Applicants with non-standard entry qualifications will be considered on a case-by-case basis Mature candidates who are 30 years and above, with at least 8 years of working experience. A minimum Grade of C5 in English Language for GCE ‘O’ Level or regional equivalent, or at least IELTS 5.5 or CAE Level 4 or pass the English Proficiency Test at equivalent level conducted by Trinity International College (with a score of at least 50%). English proficiency may be considered to have been met and an IELTS score may not be required if applicant possesses a Secondary/Middle School qualification where English was the sole medium of instruction.
