The Certificate in Applied English is a 3-month programme designed to develop learners' English language proficiency and communication skills for academic, social, and professional environments. The course provides learners with practical opportunities to improve their listening, speaking, reading, and writing abilities while building confidence in using English in real-world situations.
Through interactive lessons, collaborative activities, authentic learning materials, and task-based projects, learners will strengthen their grammar, vocabulary, critical thinking, and communication skills. The programme also emphasises workplace readiness, intercultural communication, digital literacy, and effective communication strategies that support further education and career development.
Upon completion of the course, learners will be equipped with the language competencies necessary to communicate effectively in academic settings, everyday interactions, and professional environments.

Manner of Teaching
The course is delivered face-to-face. Assessments include quizzes and examinations, individual and group assignment discussions, and presentations.
Graduation Criteria
- Completion of all required subjects and assessments
- Fulfilment of attendance requirements
Attendance Requirement
All Student Pass Holders are required to maintain an attendance record of 90% and above. Failure to do so may lead to cancellation of the Student Pass. Non-Student Pass Holders are required to maintain an attendance record of 75% and above. Failure to do so may result in suspension or termination of the student.
